Creative Project - Silky Scarves

- Brighten up your Christmas (or everyday!) with a whole range of D-I-Y fabric decorations.

- Materials
- • silk square or scarf
• pencil
• silk frame (or similar)
• Pebeo Setasilk thinner
• a brush or sponge
• a tube of Pébéo Gutta - Silver
• Pébéo Sétasilk Colours: AZURE BLUE, ORIENTAL GREEN, POPPY RED, BUTTER CUP. - Step 1
- Preparation
Wash and iron the silk to eliminate sizing then stretch over a silk frame.
Draw your design onto your silk. - Step 2
- Template
Use a Pébéo gutta tube to draw the contour of your image. 
- Step 3
- Colouring
Once you’ve allowed the gutta to dry for 30 minutes, apply the Pébéo Setasilk colours using a brush or sponge.
You can apply layers of colour to achieve tonal effects.
Use the Setasilk thinner to lighten shades if required.
Don’t be afraid to experiment! 
- Step 4
- Finishing
Allow to dry, then fix on the reverse side with an iron on cotton position for 3 to 4 minutes.
Once fixed, the colours resist dry cleaning and machine washing in 48 hours. 
- Step 5
- Clean Up
Wash all brushes & sponges clean in luke warm soapy water.
