Tri-colour Scarf

Join together these cute granny squares to make a tricolour scarf. Why not make one to match every outfit!

Materials

• 1 x 50g ball ‘Moda Vera’ Pure Wool 8ply - white
• 1 x 50g ball ‘Moda Vera’ Pure Wool 8ply - pink
• 1 x 50g ball ‘Moda Vera’ Pure Wool 8ply - teal
• 6.00mm crochet hook
• Scissors
• Yarn needle

Approx size: 6cm x 88cm

Step 1

MOTIF 1 - make 6, two in each
colour
Rnd 1: 3ch, join with slip stitch in 1st chain to form ring; 5ch, 3tr in ring, *2ch, 3tr in ring, repeat from * twice, 2ch, 2tr, join with sl st into 3rd ch of starting ch, sl st into 2-ch cnr.
Rnd 2: 5ch, 2tr in same 2-ch cnr, (1tr in each of next 3 tr, 2tr, 2ch, 2tr in next cnr), repeat 3 times, 1tr in each of next 3 tr,1tr in last cnr; join with sl st into 3rd ch of starting ch, sl st into 2-ch cnr, turn.
Row 1: 1ch, 1dc in same cnr, 1dc in each of next 9 tr, 1dc in cnr, turn.
Row 2: 1ch, 1dc in each of next 11 dc, turn.
Repeat row 2 eight times.
Fasten off, leaving a tail to join motif to another.

Step 2

MOTIF 2 - make one pink.
Rnd 1: 3ch, join with slip stitch in 1st chain to form ring; 5ch, 3tr in ring, *2ch, 3tr in ring, repeat from * twice, 2ch, 2tr, join with sl st into 3rd ch of starting ch, sl st into 2-ch cnr.
Rnd 2: 5ch, 2tr in same 2-ch cnr, (1tr in each of next 3 tr, 2tr, 2ch, 2tr in next cnr), repeat 3 times, 1tr in each of next 3 tr,1tr in last cnr; join with sl st into 3rd ch of starting ch, sl st into 2-ch cnr.
Fasten off, leaving a tail to join motif to another.

Step 3

TO MAKE UP
Join the long panels together along the short edge, starting with the pink and sewing the white granny square to the pink dc square.
Continue in this manner, sewing the teal to the white, then pink, white and teal.
Sew the single pink square to the last dc teal square.
Sew in all ends.

Optional - Make small pompoms in each colour and add to each end.
